Here you will learn how to communicate you ideas effectively. you will develop a number of techniques, from improving your formal drawing skills and understanding the importance of modelling prototypes, to using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and ICT to develop and present ideas quickly and easily.

This looks at a broad range of materials, techniques, tools, equipment, methods and processes. This section will help you develop your understanding both of the physical and working properties of a range of woods, metals and plastics.

This section looks closely at structures, mechanism and electronics. and how these technological areas can be linked together to design controllable systems.

This focuses on a designing and making activity, based on the previous sections. This will be submitted as your coursework. The project allows you to explore materials, be creative, apply critical thinking, analyse and produce an outcome to solve a problem.
